When we reopen our doors at the end of November (after a short break of ybout two weeks), a very special charm unfolds in our house. The peaceful idyll against the snow-covered panorama of the glittering mountains evokes the spirit of a bygone era. During the run-up to Christmas, the house boasts cosy warmth and relaxing tranquillity, while during the Christmas holidays the house belongs to all the members of an extended family and is a hive of activity and festive cheer.

In the last week of November, we open our doors again after a short break. And while there is a peaceful and idyllic atmosphere during the week, we welcome large and multi-generational families with a very special package on the weekends: as part of the ‘Family Reunion’ holiday package, we set a festive, long family table for all family members, invite up to two children per room to stay with us for free and also offer a 5% discount on the adults' rates. All this should make for an unforgettable pre-Christmas family reunion at the Holzner.

There is a very special atmosphere at the Holzner as Christmas approaches. The thoughtful decorations, cosy warmth and special atmosphere in our historic rooms evoke memories of days long past and convey the peace and quiet that we sometimes lose in the hustle and bustle of Christmas at home. The hotel's remarkable location is a particular advantage: you can take the cable car to the centre of Bolzano in just 12 minutes, do your Christmas shopping and stroll through the Bolzano Christmas market before returning to the peaceful tranquillity at the Holzner and the deep relaxation of the Liberty Spa.
Then, on 25 December, the Christmas holidays begin everywhere and the Holzner is transformed into a magical place of joy and festivity for all generations.

The grand New Year's Eve gala on the last evening of the year is a fitting way to celebrate the New Year at the Holzner. A grand aperitif, a multi-course gourmet menu, dance music, sparkling wine and all kinds of games and entertainment ring in the new year in style. In the cold season, the Holzner serves warming, feel-good dishes. And even in winter, we draw on everything that nature has given us throughout the year and continues to do so. Delicious winter salads and root vegetables, cabbage and beetroot continue to come straight from the gardens of the Ritten farmers into our kitchen, where we use them to prepare fresh winter delicacies. Christmas train
The South Tyrolean Christmas markets in Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone and Vipiteno are known far beyond the borders of our small region and are accordingly well attended. On Ritten mountain, however, the tranquil little Christmas market, Ritten's Christmas Train, takes place every weekend in the pre-Christmas season. Delicious local specialities and authentic handicrafts make this small Christmas market in Klobenstein and Oberbozen, just outside the hotel gates, something very special, away from the hustle and bustle.New Year's Eve
